London: January 2019;  One Animation’s twice Emmy-nominated show, Oddbods, wrapped up the festive season with spectacular audience viewing figures for their Christmas themed content.

For the season of family time and togetherness, the Oddbods served up the ultimate festive treat, releasing the Festive Menace 22 minute Christmas special and accompanying Christmas shorts across the show’s YouTube channels receiving a whopping 70M views to date.

The Festive Menace is the second longer format, 22 minute, Oddbods episode to be launched by the series creator to date following hot on the heels of the highly successful Halloween Special in October. Both episodes follow One Animation’s ‘digital first’ strategy and were featured on YouTube Kids and supported by a full channel takeover with fun content downloads, official banners and exclusive prizes to be won.

This strategy is certainly paying off: These latest figures are just the star on top of the tree for the studio after what has been a remarkable year of relentless YouTube growth.  Oddbods’ total views on the platform now stand at 7BN and the show has amassed an eye watering 6M subscribers making it one of the most influential kids’ YouTube channels in the world.

Sashim Parmanand, CEO, One Animation comments; “We are smashing into the New Year with a second Emmy nomination under our belts, a great broadcast footprint and a stellar performance on YouTube. 2019 is certainly our year and we’re excited to share with you some fantastic new initiatives to be announced soon….watch this space! ”
